The Suiseki interface

The interface has a handle on the left side to change the threshold for the interactions to be shown. When started the highest level is used. By lowering the value additional interactions pop up which have a lower confidence level (given by the system based on the abundance of the information in the text and some syntactical information).
A click on a connection between two nodes opens a browser window that shows the information that was detected by the system for this relation.

Functions of the pop-down menus

Functions for the edges:
  • delete relation: delete an edge
  • reduce weight: reduce the confidence level
  • checked: change the colour of the edge to green to show that an relation has be checked already (the colour can not be changed afterwards)
  • colour: change the colour of a line
  • colour subgraph: change the colour of all the edges that are connected to the one you are clicking on (meaning all what is really connected, not only what can be seen because of the threshold). This is useful if you see things not connected in a given level and you want to know if they are on a deeper level.

    Functions for the nodes:

  • fix/free position: hold a node in its position
  • center/de-center: hold a node always in the center of the window
  • remove node: delete a node
  • change name: change the name
  • remove not connected nodes: remove everything what is not part of the subgraph of this node (again, what counts are the connections between the nodes not what is seen in the window)
  • fuse with: fuse one node with another one. This useful to fuse synonyms in a node.

Show Label: show the level of confidence of the edges and the most probable relation between the nodes.

Relax: switch the movement of the graph on or of.
