Why this setup?

• Vendor independent

  • very heterogenious in nature:
    • grows with anything we can put our hand on! :-)

• Looks as if it is maintenance intensive.

  • LSF takes a lot of the work away. :-)
    • updating of datasets and locking of hosts
    • job scheduling and load balancing make sure we have 100% CPU utilisation (no waste!).
