Randomly retrieve a Swiss-Prot/TrEMBL entry
This tool allows you to randomly access the Swiss-Prot and/or TrEMBL
databases and retrieve a sample entry.
You can select to pick an entry from:
by clicking on one of the above.
If you wish to repeat the procedure, simply click on
the 'Reload' button of your browser once you have obtained
a database entry.
If you would like to use this feature in a program so as to automatically retrieve
a number of Swiss-Prot/TrEMBL entries, you can use the URL:
http://www.expasy.org/cgi-bin/get-random-entry.pl?<database>
where <database> = S to access an entry from Swiss-Prot
