Against three of the better teams in the league we had hoped to be able to field a full squad for the first time, but once again we were hit by problems at crucial moments. Still the results were pretty creditable, and apart from a last period collapse agaionst Lichfield we were in contention throughout.
We were ahead for long periods in the second game too. Quinn scored early in the first period and after Lichfield equalised Matti actually converted a power play goal after good work by Alec and Cyril. But Jason Walter scored for Lichfield with seconds to go and he grabbed two more goals late in the final period.
Goals by Rory and Quinn gave us a 2-0 lead mid-way through the second period against Leicetser Outlaws, but the Outlaws netted two quick goals to even things up. Another solo run by Jukka put us ahead in the third, before Leicester equalised with a minute to go. And for once we didn't collapse or look like collapsing in the final period despite our obvious tiredness.
