Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases constitute a group of key enzymes in protein biosynthesis responsible for specific charging of tRNA molecules with amino acids. The specificity of this process is essential for error-free translation of messenger RNAs. The AARSDB is a collection of amino acid sequences of known aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. It has been updated with the sequences resulting from the genome sequencing projects. The database is available through the WWW at http://biobases.ibch.poznan.pl/aars/
